This application is designed for members of the R2 Builders Club, offering remote control functionality tailored for users building an R2-D2 replica robot and utilizing MarcDuino receiver boards. Its capabilities include controlling dome panels, holoprojectors, sounds, and dome lighting in various engaging ways.

Compatible with iOS 8 and later versions, the application enables users to upload their preferred sound files via iTunes for personalized sound playback through the app or Bluetooth connectivity, enhancing the overall user experience.

Featuring programmable short ASCII commands sent through internal WiFi or a 9600 baud serial output stream via the audio port, users can establish communication with a remote WiFly receiver or external XBee transmitter for increased reliability. To utilize the audio serial feature, a small level adapter board is required, available at www.curiousmarc.com.

By allowing customization of buttons and commands, users have the flexibility to repurpose this app as a versatile remote control tool, transmitting short serial strings via WiFi or serial links tailored to their specific projects. All these functions are embedded within an interface inspired by the iconic R2-D2 design.
